About EcoJeevan Foundation
Eco Jeevan Foundation is an environmental and social development organisation committed to creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable future. Our work focuses on native tree plantation, water conservation, ecological restoration and community participation, with a special emphasis on strengthening the natural environment of Uttarakhand.
Native Ecology First
We plant hardy Himalayan native species built for mountain terrain. Deep roots stabilize vulnerable slopes, enrich soil, and revive drying water springs.
Community Stewardship
Forests thrive when locals lead. Partnering with village panchayats and Mahila Mangal Dals, we place long-term protection directly into community hands.
Accountability & Care
Planting is just day one. We commit to 3+ years of active slope monitoring and care, turning vulnerable saplings into lasting mountain canopies.
Our Vision & Mission
Over the years, we have been working towards environmental conservation through plantation initiatives, development and maintenance of green spaces, and water conservation interventions such as water ponds and other local water-retention structures.
We believe that successful environmental conservation goes beyond planting trees. It requires nurturing the entire ecosystem—from raising healthy native saplings and preparing plantation sites to pit digging, plantation, aftercare, survival monitoring and long-term maintenance.
Through partnerships with corporates, foundations, communities and local stakeholders, Eco Jeevan Foundation works to implement meaningful, measurable and sustainable environmental projects on the ground.
Our vision is to contribute towards a greener Uttarakhand with healthier forests, improved water security and resilient local ecosystems, while creating opportunities for communities to participate in and benefit from environmental conservation.
